This is the newest shop on our list, having been open a mere few weeks since June 2009, and a little gem of a shop it is too. Tucked away in amongst the Head Shops and purveyors of ‘specialist’ video in this strangely medieval looking part of Stockport you’ll find Wah Wah. Like Prince, it’s small but versatile and stocks a fine array of music on Vinyl and CD, and there is more stock to come.

Wah Wah buys and sells most genres of music and and the emphasis seems to be on good quality and good condition. I noticed they do a fine line in Punk and New wave as well as classic rock…note ‘Frampton Comes Alive!’ proudly on display alongside rare Sex Pistols stuff on our pictures. Prices seem very reasonable, and the CDs are generally at ‘cheaper than download’ prices which I do wish more second-hand shops would do. Wah Wah also does a sideline in Guitars, strings, and FX Pedals..and yes you can buy a ‘Wah Wah’ from Wah Wah.

This is a cracking little shop, well worth a trip to this quirky part of Stockport and lets hear it for owner Chris for opening a brand new record shop to add to our list.

Chrissy sourced me a record from my distant past * it has light up my life with pleasure. My mates on the ward (when not medicated) have also been taken with the songs
